Special Events this Term
BBC Broadcast of Sunday Morning Worship
On January 24th (second week) at 8 a.m. in the Chapel there was a service to celebrate the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. The service was led by the Chaplain with leaders of different Christian denominations from Oxford Churches. Both Chapel Choirs sang beautifully. The service was broadcast live on BBC Radio 4 as their Sunday Worship. Thank you to all who took part and supported such a wonderful event.
New ‘Time Out’ Service
Every Tuesday lunchtime at 12.45 p.m. in Chapel there will be a short, informal service of prayers and meditation. All are welcome to come and pray, or if you would like someone to pray for you or a loved one, please write your request on the prayer board at the back of chapel.
Passion Plays
Following the success of the Mary Plays last term, on Tuesday and Wednesday of eighth week this term (9th and 10th March) at 9 pm the chapel will host medieval passion plays, directed by Dr. Dutton. Scenes dramatising Christ's Passion, from the medieval N-Town Cycle (preserved in a 15th century manuscript), will be presented with medieval music provided by members of the mixed choir. All welcome.
